Abstract. Five species of ornamental grasses (Carex muskingumensis, Carex ornithopoda ‘Variegata’, Festuca cinerea Vill., Festuca cinerea ‘Silberreiher’, Juncus effusus) were propagated through few-shoots soft cuttings and rooted for four weeks in spring, directly in the ground, in a glasshouse in multipots and in a foil tunnel. The best rooted cuttings were obtained in a foil tunnel and the best quality ones were formed in a glasshouse conditions.

Summary
Five species of ornamental grasses (Carex muskingumensis, Carex ornithopoda ‘Variegata’, Festuca cinerea Vill., Festuca cinerea ‘Silberreiher’, Juncus effusus) were propagated through few-shoots soft cuttings and rooted for four weeks in spring, directly in the ground, in a glasshouse in multipots and in a foil tunnel. The most rooted cuttings were obtained in the ground and the best quality ones were formed in a glasshouse conditions. The intensive division of clumps and rooting of 1-3-shoot cuttings of ornamental grasses varieties of Carex, Festuca and Juncus allows to increase a number of offsprings. The recommended place for rooting of Carex muskingumensis, Carex ornithopoda ‘Variegata’, Festuca cinerea and Festuca cinerea ‘Variegata’ cuttings is glasshouse, while for Juncus effusus it is field.
